PURINA PET PAVILION TO FEATURE INCREDIBLE DOG TEAM AND THE TATTOOED TOUGH GUYS OF RESCUE INK
Metro NY Balloon & Music Festival sponsored by RE/MAX of New York, Inc., returns to Brookhaven Calabro Airport on August 8, 9 and 10, 2008. For the first time the Festival will feature the Purina Pet Pavilion with over 60 vendors displaying the latest products and services for pets. Two highlights of this area will be the Purina Incredible Dog Team and Rescue Ink’s tough-guy animal advocates.
The high-flying Purina® Incredible Dog Team is a collection of some of the world’s most athletic canines. The team entertains fans at venues across the country including state fairs, amusement parks and professional sporting events. The Team will be performing extraordinary acrobatic tricks periodically throughout the three day festival. It will offer attendees of all ages a chance to see precision dog training at its best. Made up of a team of seven trainers and more than 30 dogs, the Team will amaze crowds with freestyle flying disc routines, rolling back catches, two-legged balancing acts and jumps up to 10 feet in the air.
The tattoo covered tough guys from Rescue Ink will be on hand to discuss the importance of proper animal treatment and how to combat animal abuse and neglect. Rescue Ink is an organization devoted to battling animal abuse and neglect, and assists animal welfare agencies and animal shelters in protecting animals.
In addition to morning and evening hot air balloon inflations, the sky will be the backdrop for a fantastic array of mega-kites, including the world’s largest kite shaped like an American flag. There will be action and excitement on the ground provided by daily monster truck rallies, motorcycle dare devil performances, extreme sports displays, performing pirates and other thrilling shows. Skydivers will return again this summer along with an expanded carnival midway, circus acts, travel expo, boat and RV show, antique fire truck show, craft and home improvement pavilion and custom car and motorcycle show.
In support of local families, Festival management has implemented a new family value pricing structure for select food and beverage items. Admission discount coupons will be available at more than a thousand retail locations, including all McDonald’s locations on Long Island.
Tickets for the Festival can be purchased online in advance at the Festival’s website. Walk-in tickets at the Festival will cost slightly more. Tickets for the Festival are also available at participating RE/MAX real estate offices, Curves locations and PC Richard & Sons Metro NY locations. Discount coupons are available at all 88 McDonald’s franchise locations across the Long Island. Advance ticket prices are adult $20, children ages 5 to 11 $12 and kids 4 and under are free.
