The Metro NY Balloon and Music Festival will be held on August 8, 9 and 10 at Brookhaven Calabro Airport.  On Saturday, August 9, local band and teen favorite Push Play, will perform a special extended concert from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. After the performance the band members will host a special “meet and greet” with fans.  Leading up to their performance the band will have a special contest on its website where eight lucky fans will be able to win an opportunity to hang out with the band at the Festival’s carnival.  These lucky fans will receive unlimited ride wrist bands and go on some of the rides and play carnival games with the members of the band.

Push Play fans who want to attend this special concert and enter the contest should go to www.pushplayrox.com where they will be provided with a special code.  This code will allow them to purchase a special “Push Play Posse Pack,” a five ticket package at a 30 percent discount.

Push Play, formed in 2006, has garnered media attention from Newsday and The New York Times.  Newsday dubbed the band “LI’s new Fab Four,” the tag crediting them with popularity with the ladies and the appeal of their young stylish look.  The group favors flashy, almost European styled suits with ties, skinny jeans with vests and colorful shoes with patterned laces. "When you're on the stage, you don't want to look like the people in the crowd," CJ Baran said.  "So we decided to step it up a notch.”

Push Play’s talented band members are CJ Baran, Steve Scarola, Nick DeTurris and Derek Ries.  Their debut CD is titled “Deserted” has been well received with critics and fans alike. The band’s local fans are extremely loyal and growing which is evident by their MySpace page which recently surpassed two million hits.

The Festival also includes more than 100 hours of live entertainment.  All entertainment is included with the price of admission.  All hot air balloon inflations, mega-kite shows and all other live entertainment are subject to change or cancellation due to wind and weather conditions.  Tickets for the Festival are available at the Festival’s website and at participating RE/MAX real estate offices, Curves locations and PC Richard & Sons Metro NY locations.  Discount coupons are available at all 88 McDonald’s franchise locations across Long Island.  Advance ticket prices are adult $20, children ages 5 to 11 $12 and kids 4 and under are free.  For tickets, information and schedule of performances visit www.metronyballoonfest.com  or call (516) 794-4444.
