Are you ready to be a HOT AIR BALLOON crew member?
We invite you be a part of the biggest festival on Long Island. The Metro NY Balloon and Music Festival is looking for volunteers to help launch and retrieve Hot Air Balloons. This is an exciting way to get up close and personal and work on these balloons. The pilots and their balloons have come from all over the country to be here. We need at least three people to crew a balloon so this is a great event to bring your church group, fire department, team, or neighbors to. Volunteers should be at least 16 years of age and be in good health. This is a physical activity and does require some lifting and moving around.
As a crew member you will help the pilot unpack, inflate, and launch the balloon. If the pilot flies away, you may be asked to ‘CHASE’ the balloon in a chase vehicle. After the balloon has landed you will help pack up the balloon. Volunteers receive 2 general admission tickets to the festival (one ticket for the volunteer and one for a guest).
